Anyone knows if this will fit a 2009 model?

I know that VVT Jimnys MT are 4.300 and older ones are 3.909. But are they interchangeable?

Thanks

Where does every get the idea that older jimnys ran a 3.9 ratio?!? I think in the uk that might be true but here in Aus we only get 4.3 and 4.09.

As for those r&ps fitting, the add show it suiting a jimny and the only think changed on the diffs on a jimny sense 1998 has been the ratio.

What size tyres and what year jimny do you have? A transfer case swap is a Much better option.

I'm on 29" on a 2009 MT, but plan to go a little bigger in the future.

So it will fit then?

Really hard to find sammy t-cases for sale. Have been looking for years. I'm in SAmerica. Why it's better thought? I do not plan to run monster tyres... Is it strain on drivetrain or just the possibility of having less reduction on HiGH with, say, a 4.16 reduction gears? Anyway, this could end much more expensive here.

Thanks

Ps. Diff info is on globalsuzuki.com and jimny.se/technical.html. They show 4.09 for the autos only and 3.416 for the M13A non-vvt. So i guessed 3.909 for the SOHC (pre-2001).

I'm told the Grand Vitara front 4.3 diff ring and pinion suit Jimny.
Was told this by the the Jimny owner who bought diff off me.
Some Vitara owner use GV front steel diff to replace the alloy fronts.
And often have the 4.3 ratios left over.
