Hello All,
I have an 09 DDIS that has just run out of warranty, and of course something has let me down. I have taken the car to a Suzuki dealers workshop, as thay shpould look after a Suzuki customer properly.
An engine light came on the dash about 3 weeks ago ( a box with a fuzzy line) and the Mechanic said they had to replace two of the glow plugs, this did not fix the problem.
Now they have looked a bit deeper and now say it is the throttle body that has to be replaced.

At $2500 for the part, i get the feeling that they are having a lend of me.

Can anyone shed some light on possible spare parts or alternative parts from other cars.
Any information would be appriciated

did they tell you what the codes were?

its a fairly common issue on modern diesels some times a good clean will sort them out

Is it the injection warning light?

Does it reset when you stop the car and then come on again after a little bit of driving, especially if you give it some throttle?

I've got a JB diesel and it was the Exhaust Temperature Sensor that failed just out of warranty. $1,085 for the part.

That's what was wrong with mine but I think the injection warning light is just a general engine warning light that could be caused by any of several faults.

thats right about the light these units gum up with black diesel shit and become slow to react a good clean often helps

I'm no expert, but does the computer need a reset, ie disconnect/reconnect battery, after any fixing gets done?
