| Post subject: | sierra with coilpack baleno engine |
hi guys i have recently put a coilpack baleno engine in my 87 zook. its all bolted in and im ready to try and tackle the electrics.I have done quite a bit of research and i cant quite find anything that answers my questions so here they are: 1. I have a ecu and wiring harness from what i think is an earlier model baleno ie dizzy version will this work? I'm thinking it wont but i might aswell get a professional opinion 2. If the harness wont work can i still use the ecu? 3. Is there any wiring diagrams for the coilpack harness in a sierra? 4. do i have to take the harness apart wire by wire or is their an easier way ( im not too worried about neatness) 5. do i need a vitara speedo , i have a 98 baleno one and it definitely looks wrong? any help is very much appreciated |

1. No, I believe it won't. 2. no. 3. yes. Pjzook posted one here on AZ if my memory serves me. I'll have a search. 4. you need to identify some wires, but the rest is junk. 5. Its the VSS within the vitara speedo that people fit. You can make this part, also discussed on AZ. |

You may be able to adapt the harness but the ECU will not work as the Cam sensor isn't compatible. |
