no spark after wiring in swift ecu for tbi. i have wired everything as per this diagram. noise supressor to sierra ign coil and removed small silver box from the distributor and wired it to b8 n b16 on ecu, as read here (http://auszookers.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... hlight=tbi). i have also only spliced the acc and start wires in. no spark or fuel as i cant hear the injector fire. what have i done wrong/ missed.

i suspect its a problem with the triggering at the distributor , what sort of dissy are you using ? can you elaborate a bit more on your setup. , since its tbi i assume its a 1.6 sedan setup ?

I'm pretty sure that you will need the Swift distributor or a modified non-EFI Vitara distributor. The wiring diagram above ahows a VR type sensor not the Hall Effect type fitted in the EFI Vitaras

standard g13ba distributor, harness and engine in an sj80. tbi from swift 1.6. what kind of modifications will be needed to the dist, swift inards in vitara housing?

If its a non-EFI dizzy I think that you can just remove the amplifier and then connect the output of the VR sensor directly to the ECU. I did look into these a few years back but I don't remember the exact details. You will need to lock up any advance mechanism.

That link at the top of the page shows the correct procedure for modifying the dizzy to work with EFI. Does your fuel pump turn on for ~3seconds once the ignition is on?

Whats the check engine light doing? Since you have already traced a wire that was meant to go somewhere I'd suggest you check all of them just incase you missed something else

Not to be rude or anything but i think your best bet is to wire everything in that you can and not try to take short cuts
