Post subject:  80 amp denso alternator

I've decided to go with an 80 amp denso alternator (101211) to replace
The 40 amp stock denso in my Sierra. Only prob is that the pics
On eBay look like the 80 amp one is a Multi groove and the stock
One I have is a single. Would it be fine to swap the Multi grove for
A single so it lines up with the crank ad water pump pulley? The only
Reason I ask this is be cause I think the reason for Multi grooves are
For less slippage. Just wondering if the 80amp alternator will be too hard
To turn with just a single pulley. Cheers

The 110 amp falcon alternator might be a better option.
I have one on my Vitara and it works well.

Have a read through this: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5529

Get a Swift/barina polyvee crank and water pump pulley.

And a 110A alternator :thefinger:
