Post subject:  longer brake hoses
just about to fit longer brake hoses (ABOUT 5 INCHES LONGER THEN STANDARD) does anyone know of and off the shelf hoses that fit, i have told that either fwd laser or holden rodeo ones do the job but im unsure of which model

Just take your old ones to a brake place and get them to make new ones to the length you want.

swift fronts fit but they have this annoying metal clamp in the middle. better to get some new ones made up as they are alot safer than some old crap thats been sitting in a wreckers yard for years.


mine cost me $90 fitted for the fronts.

you use the metal bit to attach a spring to hold the hoses off the tyres :wink:

Yes, its a much better way than letting the hose rub against the tyre and clearance itself :roll: brand new hose btw... :evil:

I got mine at NBC Auto Parts & Engineering‎ 144 Hobart Rd, Kings Meadows.
I think they were about $40 per line.

hyundai excel lines on mine. Excellent length and have a spring shroud along half their length which protects the line nicely from rocks sticks etc

cheers guys, got some off NBC, they were under $90 for the pair, much better than the $140 each that ENZED were going to charge me (and they wernt road legal)
