i am replacing my timing belt and have lent my workshop manual to some one the drama that i am having is with the crank lined up with tdc and the cam on the notch ie vertical, the rotor is pointing down not as i would have thought at no 1. this is how it was when i pulled it apart. whats going on? if the cam/ dizzy is 180deg out how does it still run. have i got a magic car? G13a in a sj50 help |

Just mark the belt with a paint pen before removing, transfer marks to new belt and hey presto!! What if you rotate crank 360 degrees? Are there 2 marks on the cam pulley? If in doubt there is a downloadable manual here in the download section. |
