OK. first question is are you serious? If you want to ask such a question, you will get some people poking fun at you. But lets not, lets try and be nice about it. here is your goal: ![]() Oh wait, those are 37s I think. looks tuff though. Whats your current setup, how much do you want to spend, do you still want to use it offroad or just to "look tuff". |

I'm rather confused, where do you live? Reason i'm asking is that 31's are already illegal for your Jimny (on road), as far as i was aware, so how are you going to get away with 33's? Or does this not concern you? |

JIMNY_CRICKET wrote: well 33s are just not practical for off road 31 are nice Really confusing. All bullshitting aside, Your suggesting that there is a practical reason to run really aggressive 33s for visual appeal and 31s for offroad use. And that you dont need gearing for them because you have a 1.6l engine. Practicality enters into this nowhere. Tires that are two inches bigger arent going to assist you to achive more orgasms, that are shared with other people. Yes, all you will need to fit the 33s is a body lift, but probaby not for 10" wide rims, they just wont tuck in under the guards like your 31s do. If you tub in (and out) the guards with an, um, passionate, virtual lift they will fit and make the car better offroad (in many terrains). But. You will need stronger cvs and lower gears. You need them now but {edited} who doesn't know any better. Legally, in Australia, you can run 33s on a Jimny, but you will need to install diffs from a car that is suitable to run 33s and have the work certified by an engineer. It looks like you have a good setup that your happy with offroad. Leave it like that. Dont bother with the 33s unless doing it properly and actually needing more tire for what you are driving. I actually think that 33s are probably just about the right size for a Jimny. It would be great to see you do it well. I hope to run 31s as my next tire (perfect for my terrain here) and 35s on my next build when I return to Au. /all Bullshitting aside Keep up the good work! I like the lols. |

33s on a jimny are great. if you live in south west vic like i do then 31s dont get you to far in our ruts. Ive had 33s on mine for 2 years with sierra transfer. havent broken much considering. It depends ALOT on the driver I know ill prob get flamed as its what everyone like to do! But if your doing it for the 'look' then go buy a skyline or something from the ricer community...
