I'd like to lift my transfer a little bit, maybe an inch. I've had a look and feel and from what i can see there is enough room to lift it about 20-25 mm. Im thinking about just spacing the mounts top and bottom. is there any obvious problems I'm missing here? also my drain plug hangs out about 30mm is there one I can get that is shorter or should I just machine down the stock one? any ideas and thoughts would be great. |

BYE products do a transfer lift kit. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=15518 there are a few good threads on transfer lifts/flat belly's have a search, should come up with some good pics/tech. i'll have a look for the ones i'm thinking of when i get a spare minute. EDIT: what bruce said

Im looking at doing the same mod mate, im pretty sure i have spotted a spacer kit (maybe boostcruising ) around here somewhere. Re the Drain plug a "grub" screw in the right size would work to have it flush, they shouldnt stick out 30 mm got a pic? From what ive reasearched alot of people that go for the lift seem to use a transfer cradle at the same time. |

Does that lift kit need a body lift aswell? Does anyone know the size and thread of the drain plug. |

From memory with no bodylift and no internal panel work you will only get around 12mm lift. |

With no body lift you can fit only one of Greg's std set ups. Yes Greg also does these in std height. |

I do a 12mm lift but can't guarantee it won't hit the tunnel |

Be careful as if you lift your Tcase you may have undesired vibrations in your driveline due to different angles, though cv shafts prevent this. Think this is my first post, do i have to introduce myself in any specific section of the forum? |

Lifting the transfer won't affect the cv's at all it will, how ever, affect the unis but not enough to make a big difference |

Good to know that, actually i had that problem with my wrangler... I remember once a friend of mine (sierra owner) hit the transfer on the trail and it bent the mount, so the trans was really close to the body (if it wasn't touching it) but he couldn't put it back into 4 low, then i asume you will have to modify the lever linkages and you'll be able to go with your belly-up |

Iv lifted my case 40 mm and the jack shaft sits niice and strait also the geer stick doesn't fowl on anything ether, (Joesgut ) it sounds as if ur mate had other problems due to a derect impact. Also sierras don't have linkages on tcase |

By the way, with linkage i was refering to the mechanism that allow the lever to change gears in the transfer case, some sort of sticks. Im quite sure this sierra (1994 samurai) have it. |

With a little hammering and boxing in you can lift a tcase 50mm When I did it I cut a whole heap more then was needed, so you can get away with allot less cutting... |

I run 50mm tube blocks under my transfer, makes the angles worse with my 2 inch lift but i have never had a problem and nothing hangs under the chassis. |

I've got some 6mm plate. So I'm just going to space the mounts top and bottom. Which should give me just enough thread on the stock mounts. correct me if I'm wrong but off the shelf transfer blocks are solid? Wouldn't this put extra stress on the chassis and transfer under heavy torque loading? |

Some mounts are solid some arent. I ran solid mounts up to and including 33's without any dramas, it was only when I went to 38's did it try to turn itself inside out. |

Job done. I'm pretty happy with the result. I measured about 13mm total lift. The case seems to be hitting the tunnel in reverse and on heavy over run. Well that's what it sounds Like to me still have to sort out a better drain plug |
