Ive have just done a head gasket swap on my baleno g16b, having some issues getting it running and wondering if I have the cam pulley set up right. Pulley has two marks, E and I. I lined the pin on the end of the cam up with the slot on E, and then used E to line up to the the mark on the rocker cover. Is this the correct way? |

Ok, that's good. Problem is elsewhere. |

It's the E 100% what is the engine issue? Was the cam removed by any chance? |

Cam needed to be removed to get the head bolts out. I have spark and fuel. Turns over fine but struggles to fire, it sounds like a timing issue to me when it turns over, but I have tried the dizzy in every conceivable position. This is what made me wonder about the cam pulley. I need to find the check engine light wire (bloody dash out job) and see if any codes come up. |

Just a quick one. I had a similar issue. Check all your rocker arms and make sure they are located correctly over the valves. They have a nasty tendency of not sitting directly on top of the valve head. Just a thought. And it's a quick check |
