Hi Guys,
Am new to this fine little 4by having just picked up a 97 coily [will post some pics ron].
had bad shudder come front wheel wobble/dance so put kits in both swivel hubs, this seemed to work, but for no particular reason it came back & went away again.
this is not just a slight shudder but one wher zuk has to come to a standstill to stop it.
my thoughts are maybe
*rims -wrong offset [i believe they are 15X7" vitara mags] although they have been freshly balanced
*suspension - maybe strut failure

any thoughts would be appreciated
regards Boxhead

check on the rims how much weight is on them.
2 of my vitara rims are warped and it takes 200 grams to even get it close to balanced.

would be a constant thing at certain speeds if it is wheel weights. I reckon rod ends.

Funnily enough I had the exact same problem when I had the standard wheels and tyres on mine. I spent ages looking forthe problem but I could'nt find it. Problem was intermittant and happened at about 70km/h. I replaced the wheels and tyres with 31" tyres on 15 x 8 rims, replaced the springs and the shock absorbers all at the same time and the problem has disappeared never to be seen again. I suspect it might've been a crook shock.

Had the same problem with my lifted Jimny years ago,it had Sierra offset rims which are a wider offset so i put a steering damper on it and towed it in 2 degrees ,fixed...So as Royce said..
