Can't remember what Suzy calls its IAC/ISC, etc. Anyway, when Suzuki updated from the V6 2.0L (H20A) to the 2.5L (H25A), one of the changes they made was in the ISC. The H20A uses a two-wire valve like this but the H25A uses a six-wire stepper motor style valve. Ok, that's the background. I updated the motor from H20A to H25A, but not the computer - this means I kept the H20A injectors, ISC valve, and the two-wire COP modules (well actually I used a BA Ford COP modules which are electrically/electronically interchangeable) and of course the ECU, but otherwise it's an H25A motor with H20A ECU.... But, my two-wire ISC is buggered (and it has a very interesting effect on my snorkel which produces this farting sort of noise, but that's another story). Solution: 1. get a new ISC. 2. fix the old, 3. get a converter that somehow changes the two-wire PWM signal, from the H20A ECU, into a series of step pulses to drive the six-wire ISC. So, being a tech-type, 3 sounds interesting, and something I could actually do myself (perhaps I'm fooling myself how long it would actually take to do bcause we're probably talking about a microcontroller, multiple driver FETs, etc!), but realistically fixing the old is probably the way to go, so: a. Anyone fixed these? b. would it just be easier to get a new or used one? |

Way easier to just get a replacement 2 wire one. |
