anybody know where to get a solid pinion spacer for a vit front diff? I think this is the reason the GV's blow crownwheels cause the crush spacer squashes under load.

or better still, Dimensions for a spacer so I can get one made up :)

I dont know but I know the same thing happens to Holden Jackaroos as well. (and it costs a bucket to fix) :wink:

Are crush spacers fitted to all vehicles, Do sierras have these?? :?

yeah all diffs have them,or something along the same line,sierras also have them

Not all e.g. Patrols, but most these days due to cost. I got mine from Matt at Total Traction Drivelines in Melbourne and he fine tunes it to the right size for the individual diff.

Here is an interesting article on the subject. Granted it's aimed at Toyota stuff but AFAIK the zook gear is of a very similar design.
