Anyone happen to know the weight difference between a G13A, and a G16B MPFI. I expect that its not much, but the engineer that will be certifying the swap in my Sierra has asked the question. |

easier to find another engineer I reckon the ecu and wiring would weigh more than the difference in engines!!!!! |

Possibly right!! He's definitely not familiar with Suzuki engines so hopefully once he sees what the physical difference is it will be a non-issue. Its not like I'm trying to drop a cast iron V8 in.. I expect the G16 will be a little bit heavier due to it being a 16V head vs the old 8V, but would have to be less than 5kg. Anyway - just thought that someone may have had weight specs at their fingertips - appears not. |

Just bull shit too him, what's he going to do check. They're heavy to move by yourself so say 63kg for the 1.3 and 69kg for the 1.6 if he says that sounds light say it the bare engine. but I think that would be on the heavy side of what they are. |

I had a 1.3 twin cam swift engine. I was able to carry the complete engine from the ute to the back yard. I was shattered afetrwards but they are not that heavy really.
