Hi Guys,

I am trying to get my little SJ40 in over the pits for rego. I need just a bit of a hand with a few technical points. I have downloaded the manual and searched the forum but struggling to find the answers I need.

If someone could show me how the rear lap sash seatbelts mount and the rear mechanism holds the rear seat in a soft top it would be much appreciated.

Cheers guys,

Trent

Yeah bought the seats off Brett in Canberra and that is what they were fitted with. Maybe that may be half of my problem??

yeah they should just have lap belts that bolt to the floor behind the seat

Ok that is where I have the bottom half of the lap sash bolted, that was an easy fix looks like I need to source lap sash belts now.

As for the fixing hinge if anyone has a photo of that it would be appreciated. I have a little tag on the floor of my zook and a clamp on the seat but it looks as if it is missing something.

I have not seen lap sash belts in the rear of a hard top sierra either, might be some confusion with the terminology, a lap belt only goes across your lap, a lap sash is like what is in the front of your sierra it goes across your lap and then the sash part of the belt goes across your body and over your shoulder to a mounting point up high.

defenatly a lap sash belt, just not a retractor one. the top hole is for
the top bit of the seatbelt and the bottom hole was a mount for a bar that went to the other side of the car.
