I'm trying to do some research on cj7 springs, has any one actually used them on there zook in the rear obviously u would have to move the spring hanger back and redrill the spring pack as well.

I have used the search function as well and there wasn't much info apart from one guy saying he used cj7 springs with 3 inch shakels and he used lifted springs and achieved 2.5" lift so take the shackels out and use stock shackels it should come close to matching the front (EFS rears )

More constuctive - Shorter than yj springs and longer than zook rears... try lookin up cj jeep spring length and do a comp with the zook rear, mazda swap etc seem popular with a ruf. Hope this is a starter

Add another spring locator hole on the diff/ubolt plate.
Or
Move your chassis mount forward, and the shackle hanger rearward and or use a longer shackle.
Diff can stay the same.

You wouldnt re drill the spring haha.

I doubt they'd be the next greatest thing. More work than people could be bothered doing.

That's why I thought cj ,springs id rather buy a pair of spring packs and cut and weld mounts that way I have a spring that can be replaced easly instead of crawling around old mazdas or ferozas on my day off no offense to Dan of course

I fitted feroza springs to a zook not long ago. They work well with a 3 leaf pack. Good rate too. From memory, they are about 175mm longer from eye to eye, and depending which way to run the spring, they can locate the diff in the same possition, or 200mm back.

I did a chassis extension and moved the diff back the 200mm. Works out to be 2250 wheelbase. Just use a front driveshaft and 12mm shaft spacer, and call it done.

What about the spring width though did u have to use wider perchs?

And if u flip the spring around i thought u would end up with the huge eye at the back and the small at the front, or am I thinking about wrong?
Also I don't seem to have any room behind my diff so would have to have the diff in the factory position

we got some cj springs made by carrols springs, with sierra eyes on the ends to fit sierra bushes.

i have them on the back of my ute.
