if that panel was designed for a "deluxe version" so they could have some more lights (but it never happened)... it should be a cable laying around there for it.... same way there is a speaker cable ready for some rear speakers that never happened |

Just checked my brothers EF fairmont. His rear door interior lights are 45x75, so it looks like it would be a good fit for that side panel but I reckon it will be a lot of effort for not much gain. Your best to do what jimny91 did and other people have done for rear interior light. Here's a picture anyway if you want to do it, they came out in the fairmonts side doors and ford wagons as a boot light.

I have tryed the SX4 trunk lights, but they do not fit. I've found one that fits from an old Fiat car. It has a button, so i didn't integrate them with the door light. I've replaced the bulbs with a mini LED bar and it's f&%$# bright. Look at the last pic (just one side on). Also, it is not necessary to drill. Just use 3M double-face tape. ![]() ![]()

Just took these 5 minutes ago. 1. Replaced main bulb with LED 2. Installed Narva map light w/switch in centre of roof 3. Installed 'LED' brand LED strip light along back lip. With switch on RHS panel. Not that its a big issue, but I should have installed it on the left side! ![]() The camera does not do it justice. Very useful amount of light... ![]()

Installation method for lights... I put a square of Masonite above the map light to give the screw something to bite and I used rivets and washers to secure the rear light. I measured and drilled the cable hole accurately for both. |
