I just went the 4x4 show in brizzy last sunday and ordered a ARB Air locker (because they had a deal buy at the show get a free aircompressor for it) BUT i have now just been told that i could get a Elocker (electrical locker) for half the price what should i do.

:peaceout: ANYONE got Air lockers or E lockers what are better or Pro's and Con's ??? :peaceout:

Easton or Eaton?

Easton I've never heard of, and a google search turns up nothing, Eaton (Detroit is a subsidiary of Eaton) do make an e-locker, however, as of the January 2013 application guide, there is nothing available for Suzuki.

Kam Differentials also make electric lockers and their application guide does include the Jimny - one advantage of the Kam locker is that it comes with new stronger axle shafts.

There may be no application listing for a Suzuki E-Locker, but there is also none for a Detroit Locker for a Suzuki Sierra and I know a couple with them or have had them in the past!

The "new" style KAM lockers don't need the extended axle spline so the stronger axles are optional.

OP, was it definitely an elocker? I was under the impression that there wasn't much price differance between an air and e.

Could it have been an ez locker?

According to the Eaton app guide they dont list anything for Suzuki at all, E-locker or Detroit. They use to do a Detroit Ez-locker as I purchased a 2nd hand 3rd with one in it, ran it for a couple years and now 93zook is running it.

The ones I knew were Detroit NoSpin centres through Locked Drive Systems in Sydney, but even they don't list them as an application.

You should do some more reading about e-lockers then.

Land Rover guys say the quality is quite British.

Still, an electric locking LSD is so much win!

:? :| :?

first you'd need to find one & buy one so that's even more $$$ for a jewish zook owner to cough up.

What? They make locking LSDs.

Nice ninjaing. :thefinger:

It would be the most expensive and time consuming to install for sure.

care factor zero :thefinger:

no where do they list a LSD for a suzuki & how many people on this forum would even have the coin for one? :thefinger: :thefinger: :thefinger:

wondering if they make them for scooters too?

I edited on purpose silly head. :thefinger:

They said on their sight somewhere tht they can make any of their lockers into a locking LSD.

I'd say quite a few scooter owners enjoy a bit of LSD.

I've got a KAM locker. I've also tried contacting them for spare parts. In the end I had to go through LROR to order, and obviously the hassle was not worth it, as LROR dumped them ages ago.

Great product, INSANE amount of work to install, and lousy backup.
