I replace the std carb with a 4K rolla unit some time ago and has been fine untill now. It was fine when parked, didn't get used again for about 2 weeks and was hard to start.

Symtoms - hard to impossible to start to the point of having to put hand over carb top to get it going.
- hessitation (bad) under high load, fine at part throttle, idles well. Would be lucky to 5500 in 2nd.

Removes, stripped and cleaned carb, replaced vac hoses, cleaned and checked idle solenoid.

Starts better, but not as good as it was till fault started, high load hessitation is still there.

Run up to 3500-4000 in 2nd and floor it, takes off then holds back, coughs/splutters a bit. idle in 1st, floor it and it will stall. Runs fine on part throttle, ie before secondries open.

Appears to be good atomised fuel flow at primary venturi, but when holding the air flap open and reving hard, the secondries is very ordinary. Jet was checked and was clean, as was primary jet.

Air bleeds?? Power valve?? Where are the actuall air bleeds on these carbs? Any ideas??

Cheers
Rick

Im just guessing but I think the carbs claged up. If u have fuel in a carb toatly drie out it can dry like paint in side the carb and clag it up.
I'm just guessing at this I'm no machinic, also if or was running before fine surely the points and coil are still ok after two weeks of doing nothing
