Scribe/draw a line in the door where you want it to end up. Cut an inch or so above this line so you have some material to rivet/weld. I used a piece of 75x25 in the top of each door to for an armrest and notched it where the windscreen latch is. Cut the top section off the latch so the door can be flush across the top. Bit of carpet across the top so they don't get hot in the sun/cut myself on a sharp edge. I've repurposed the lock button to open the door when pushed down. Gutting the doors gives heaps of extra room I ran some spare pinchweld around the edge of the cut so it wasn't sharp. ![]() ![]() ![]() Photos are a bit average but you get the idea |

Yep that's what I was after! So really just cut it and weld the 75mm steel in there.... Why did you leave the inch above the cut line? What did you do with the tabs? |

Pretty much I made it up as I went along. I left the inch to fold over which I riveted to the steel in the top, if you weld it you probably don't need to but welding the thin metal could be a pain. |

[quote="jono165"]Scribe/draw a line in the door where you want it to end up. With your doors how you cut right above the locking mechanism How did you go with no tampering with the lock ? Marking mine out at the moment and I'm worried I'll have to cut just above the lock to save damaging it |

Nah got between my knees for that! Hahaha thought has crossed my mind! But as much as the body on my Zook is absoluty rooted everything I seem to do I get carried away with.... If I was to put a cup holder in there I would want to weld the edges down.... And what can I weld in there? |

You really need to take an inch off the top of the door above the top hinge so it lines up with the bonnet. Looks heaps better and is henno OCD approved. |

Not the right thread, I know. But I am looking for a pair of sierra or coily door cards in reasonable condition to buy. If you blokes are cutting up doors you's might have some you no longer need ??? |
