| Post subject: | Parts and Advice for WT Diff 2 NT Mods |
Hey all I know this has been covered a million times and I've read all I can find on here and outers and this is what I come up with. As far as I can see to fit WT Diffs into my SWB NT I will have to move spacing of perches inward to NT width, remove WT Flanges and fit NT ones, ditch one of the handbrakes ie;leave the one on the transfer, use WT tie rod and drag link, delete one of the rear brake lines as WT only needs one and then branches out to both sides across diff (may need some bending of lines?) and extend front brake lines for extra width and flex. Ok is there anything I have left out? Have you done this Mod? if so advice and pics of your set up welcomed! I pick my diffs up next weekend from Pubic and would like to get straight into this Mod asap! so all help appreciated thanks in advance. Cheers Robb. |

you pretty much have it covered mate. if you want to take it a step further you can fit your NT diff centers for the slightly better ratio. |

only other thing i can add is do it one perch at a time. makes it easier to get all the angles right. |

Depends a lot on the type and frequency of the driving you do. 31's on a DD I'd go 4.9:1 transfer gears and stock 3.7:1 diffs. If only used as an offroad play toy, go 6.5:1 gears and 3.9:1 (NT diffs) this is what I have and with my 33's which measure 31.5" it's about 10% under stock gearing in high and 197% lower in low. |

Thanks Jas 6.5:1 gears and 3.9:1 (NT diffs) sound like the go for me as this will mainly be an off road rig not much time on road only to and from the bush. Cheers Robb |

NT & WT tie rod ends are different. WT has a larger diam. threaded section. Not interchangeable. You'll need a complete WT tie rod with WT rod end. |

I can't help i'm afraid, only have NT stuff. BTW, I am running 6.1:1 Rockhoppers and 3.9:1 diffs with 32s (measure at 31") and they are OK. 100kph is about 4000rpm. |

Sorry not sure that I explained myself properly the drag link end is the problem, are the WT ones the same part as NT or can I change the WT one to a NT one as WT one has been cut? Cheers Robb. |

NT tie rod is shorter than WT. NT tie rod end(the removable bit) is smaller thread than WT. NT drag link(from steering box to tie rod) is shorter than WT. Drag link ends are not removable. Jas. |

As the diffs are wider (the axle's would be too short) so I'd say no go to that one grimreaper others may know of other reasons why |
