Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with using a starter motor out of a swift or barina in there 1.3 sierra

Or is there another one i can take the stuff out of the centre and swap over i heard of using the guts of a ford laser but not to sure

Or if anyone has a cheap second hand one i could buy in victoria.

try wreckers you should be able to get one for around $60 with some sort of warranty

i paid $120 4 my starter from the wreckers and i got it cheap because there my mates.

ask your local sparky how much to recondition it, will probably be less then a 1/2 dead
one from a wrecker.

If you have a pick a parts kinda place, Try looking at the mitsubishi lancers with the same shape housing. :wink: if there are no sierras..

My sierra one is a 'mitsubishi' brand. So i went straight to the mitsubishi area!

I think it was 89-90' shape before the coupe roundy style. But make sure u take the starter with ya to compare.

Swift ones are different. :P

Thanks guy best answers so far.

i can get a brand new one for $175 i just wanted to throw a second hand unit in to get it up and running quick

I have another project that needs most of the funds at the moment so yeah moneys tight for the ltille zook
