i am looking at purchasing a sierra and need some help to make the right purchase. i am told i have to stay away from coil spring models and that leaf spring zooks are the go. what is the best andcheapest way to get about 3-4 inches of lift out of the suspention so i can run 30-31 inch tyres ???

King springs
VS COmmondore wagon rear shocks for the front
Hilux or Hiace or something shocks for the back
just cruising bodylift

will drive like shit with 31's so youll need some gears, any version of rockhopper will do, do a good search on series 3 and 4 before bothering to waste money on them though :)

then youll want some lockers, airlockers are the go

and more power, 1/6 efi vit engine is an easy swap, toyota motors are shit

vitara wagon brakes fit straight on and will help trying to pull it up

there ive just summed up the entire tech section :)

seriously, by a WT leafy, drive the pants off it, mod it then, if you go all out straight up youll be too damn scared to use its full capability and end up whats known as a web wheeler :)

or just keep it stock you will be surprised as to what you can do in them

i took royce advise to drive your zook until you cant do anymore in it then mod so you can do it

ie drive your zook over things until you cannot conquer due to clearance then go bigger wheels and lift

my virtually stock zook keeps up with everyone i have 4x4 with

why ask on outers ? here we have fine knowledge not including myself and on outers as all you do is get f#*k heads that insult you for not knowing in the first place, furthermore look through the tech sections on here the question will have been asked a few times.

I'm guessing he's telling him to ask on outers because the question has been asked a thousand times before.

Because he asked how to build a Sierra powered by an F6 Turbo and 34" swampers with a suspension design that has even roll stiffness front and rear.

Where's Tomy??

I think that the suggestion for him to ask about his suspension lift on Outer's has lead to his demise!! What a callous act it is to send someone unarmed and with no experience to the Suzuki Tech section on Outer's and not warn him to search first  !!

Don't feel bad. I'm sure quite a few new members on Outers who've visit the Suzuki Tech section have copped a bagging because they did not search before asking their questions.

I personally think rather than bagging someone for not searching, it would take less time and effort to reply to their question with a link to the Outers Suzuki Bible. Outer's is a great site, but I reckon a lot of new members bail because they cop a bit of stick, simply because they did not search or have asked a question that may seem reasonable to them, yet ridiculous to someone else.

The thing is you don't realise that if you bag someone out like that your e-penis gets bigger!!!

Simple rule is…

Try not saying anything to someone on a website forum, that you wouldn't say to their face.

Anyway back on top… I'd go a 2" suspension lift with 29's first. Unless you're considering 'gears' as any tyre size above this will result in a reduction of performance and economy.

The simple rule is, say nasty things on the internet and then be their best mate when you finally are confronted face to face. It's the way of the internet, You, I or anyone else can't change those rules.

That's all well said, then you actually meet face to face, the person you've bagged on the internet is built like a 220lb gorilla, has the memory of an elephant and holds a grudge! :?
