Post subject:  Front auto locker install

Hi I am putting front auto locker in my alloy (all I have for now) front diff. I'll be able to sort of work it out as I go but tips would be handy. Best way to pull out cvs? How to pull diff out/apart ? Fitting locker into diff? Any extra things I should do while it's apart ? Thanks for any help

Don't waste your time. Vit fronts are made of glass.
Wait until you can fit the locker to a steel centre in a steel housing from a GV.

have a suss of the good tech sections, christover has a good write up on fitting them to the fronts.... you've been warned about the alloy housing, make sure you post up when it breaks.

Make a strap that goes over the pinion and bolts from original mount to new hole on otherside
Will help stop the pinion coming up underload and snapping the housing in half
Then find a steel diffas soon As u can

would a locker mean the alloy housing is more likely to crap itself?
i though that a locker would mean you would 't spin up a lifted front wheel then destroy the diff when that wheel found traction again?
