Post subject:  mounting spare tyre ??????? serria

my sound like a stupid question and maybe it is, i run 31" and was wondering if there is a diff way to mount a spare ??????? and would you think if i put the spare on the back door would it fuck the door hinges ????? what do you guys do, not carry spares ???????????

It's legal to not carry a spare, but if you have a blow out it's an inconvenience not having one with you.

31" on the original spare mount will eventually f#$k your hinges. So getting a separate 'sway away' bar made up for the rear is your best option.

i think you will have trouble with the back door cracking or falling of after a while, you could do some thing like wat sheep did http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?nam ... pic&t=3448

or iv seen people mount then in the back and build a false floor over then or you could make a rear bar with a swing out tyre carrier.

I have had a 31" on a 15x7 steel rim on my back door for 9 years and still no rattles. It is bolted with the dish to the outside to keep the weight closer to the door.

Scrawn the mod plate would be for removing the seats not for putting the spare in there right ??
