Check out 31 zook's build thread iirc he did the swap and there's lots of good info in there on it.

Hello, if yours is a VVT you need a M13a non VVT gearbox.

But other then that it's all the same swap stuff.

OffRoadArmoury SJ tcase swap kit
SJ case either 1L or 4.16 gears to correct 30s
WT jack shaft
WT front drive shaft
And to mod the tcase stick. If it's a push button Jim you will also need to cut a hole in the floor, but it is marked put by Suzuki.

It's a good mod, but from what I read maybe an Auto jimny tcase swap would be easier.

Hope I havn't forgotten anything :D

Hole is already there, including screw holes. They just screwed a plate over the hole, very handy.

The Narrow Track transfer is not the best unit for the Jimny conversion. The bolt pattern on the flanges is wrong for the Jimny shafts, and you'll probably want to ditch the handbrake drum.

You need this:
1x WT Sierra Transfer Case
1x WT Sierra Jackshaft
1x WT Sierra Front Driveshaft
1x conversion kit from Offroad Armory.

Then read this: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=30820

And since that thread was written, ORA have upgraded their kit yet again and it now includes T/Case bracing to make it even betterer!

If you're using a NT transfer I think you'll also need WT flanges for it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I guess i should also point out that the Sierra transfer swap also includes a bit of wiring to stop the 4WD light flashing constantly. Probably a manual hub swap too.

have just done this, was quite straight forward, took a bit of tweeking to get the lever in the right place.

now that i read what you said in the original post it explains the clicking noise i have been hearing!

sierra transfer seems to be a much nicer stronger unit. ORA don't sell to aus from their online ordering page so you will have to email them part numbers and they will send you an invoice, very good company to deal with.
My jimny always flashed 4x4 for some reason even with original transfer so no biggie for me.

What's needed to get a sierra transfer into a new auto jimny?

http://www.bigjimny.com/images/documents/transferboxratios.pdf

Looking at the auto trans equipped transfer ratios You should just be able to bolt up a WT transfer for about 7% reduction. The only thing that may be an issue is the jack shaft.
