Well I got to finally drive my Vitara for the first time in about 6 months and well.... A couple of things.. Cold start isn't very easy - I have to keep the key turned and hold the accelerator down a little for it to fire up Down low there's no go - anything below 2500rpm is a struggle even with the pedal mashed to the floor then it's as if it go's oh hang on I can do this, and the power delivery is a little all over the place. The ignition timing is spot on 10degree BTDC when cold. I didn't have a chance to check it when hot. Would the TPS be affecting it. It was removed and not set back in it's original location. |

How smooth does it idle? On some vits the TPS has an idle switch which should make contact at idle to tell the ECU. This should be setup |

It idles very nicely and revs freely, just when it's under load it kinda struggles. This is the link I got my info from and I made a little video which is in the last post of what I did. http://auszookers.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... ilit=video No rattles or clunking noises so I'm certain it's right. |
