Opening the bonnet will reveal a blue and an aluminium plate to look at.
These are on the firewall.

Heres some of my own input
Muddy water is stupid hard on cars, sure is fun at first, but starts to suck real hard when maintaining it afterwards.
This seems to be the general consensus.
Your rear brake shoes may only last a few days (had new brake shoes rooted buy the end of the first trip they went on, and wasn't much mud either)
your rear wheel bearings will only last a few months
if your unlucky, you will fill a diff, gearbox, or transfer with muddy water... possible even with breathers fitted
From my experience a heavy duty clutch isnt needed, save your $.
In some instances you will break clutch cables and/or get sick of the really hard pedal feel.
Not enough power to warrant a heavy duty clutch (I tried it and took it out after a while).
There's two gearbox spline sizes, and being an 89, means you could have either.
They changed over from narrow track (NT) to wide track (WT) in 88.5, and used leftover parts from the NT.
So be prepared for things to be a bit of a pain in the bum
I would pull the gearbox, and count the splines and then order a clutch kit.
