Also looking to upgrade the seats for the jimny. What has everyone got in terms of aftermarket seats? or seats from other cars? Mine have had it they are really uncomfortable and hard. I sat on a couple of seats at the local autobarn store and they were like rocks.

I am after a reclining bucket seat that is nice and comfy and in a wash over material.

Chuck sheep wool seat covers on, much more comfy and don't need to get engineered, then get a cheap $15 throw per seat cover to catch the mud

These guys, they know.

Don't get something with big, stiff side bolsters.

Yes trouble with the sports ones is my shoulders don't fit so was not really after a wrap around one

More cause lifted 4by + wannabee race car seats mean you can't get in or out.

:thefinger:

you do get used to it... i like the stiff side bolsters personally. Once you learn how to get in and out of the seat without tearing half your ass off that is.

That said i'd love to have softer / spongier seats to make longer drives less harsh on the spine.

i have a fixed back Bride in my other car, best seat ever! i could sit in it for days on end with no soreness i could sleep in it quite comfortably although not moving because its so tight and supportive, in my track car i have the same again with head restraints awesome seat but not practical. but for a 4wd i probably wouldnt have one as its not practical not being able to move and look around etc.

i ran a fixed back momo race seat for a while it was awesome once you were in it, but getting in & out of it in a lifted car was a bitch, ended up running recaro SE's

X2 D1mitch, I ran a recaro SP-G in my road cars for years, but it was a terrible seat in a 4WD.

I don't fit in recaros's as well and think they are more of the wank factor well.

Best seats I have come across in a car have been.... 200b ditto seats, dead set! In the the truck I have a SPA suspended seat and that's pretty good

200b datto, not sure if serious.

i'm sure they'd be way nicer to sit in than these & almost zero wank factor

I had one of these in my s15

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lVUbI0ue4Zo/T ... cad2_1.jpg

its a factory DC2 integra seat (essentially a recaro sr3)

sooooo comfortable.

I had a recaro SR2 in my old corolla, which was pretty simliar just not swede, more of a fabric and much older. also very comfortable.

not the easiest to get in and out of so im not sure i'd put them in a 4wd though.

i reckon they're almost getting too deep to be bearable offroad, but for a street car they'd be awesome.
