Gday all just wondering if anyone can give me advice or a link on replacing the throw out bearing in my 89 1.3 sierra...and I have been searching for ages on this forum
Essentially just take it appart untill you can get to the bearing, repalce bearing (noting how the old one was attached), and do everything in the reverse order.
Its all pretty easy mate. I just replaced the clutch in my sierra.
Front driveshaft out, jackshaft out, remove centre section of exhaust, remove starter, remove brace from between chassis rails, remove shifter, undo gearbox mount, unbolt gearbox from block.
When removing the gearbox you need to rotate the bottom towards the drivers side to clear the crossmember. Its pretty light you can remove it with 2 hands. The throwout bearing just sits on the clutch arm held in place by a pin on one side.
