G'day all - I have 5.12 gears fitted to a new 4 pin sierra carrier that I bought yesterday, and i am having a lockrite installed as we speak. THe problem is the pins are no longer retained by the crown wheel, as it is narrower. I know there is a ring that I could buy from lowrange that would do the job, but are there any other ways of doing it? One bloke said that the pins can be centre punched on the inside so that they don't slide out, he also suggested doing a spot weld on them. I don't like the weld idea so much... Any other ways that you know of? Want33s, you were right! |

Buy the kit from lowrangeoffroad OR get a ring machined up. Anyone competent on a lathe should be able to do it in less than an hour. Jas. |
