Perhaps you should just pick up a used one.

Are you sure its not just the bearings getting noisy? Have you pulled it out and taken a look at the teeth surfaces?

haven't got one infront of me, but I worked my Maruti out to 4.11.

Regardless, I doubt .02 would make any difference.

Jimny is 4.09 too? or Jimny is 4.11?

Post subject:  Re: New 4.1 C/P

My maruti front and rear were both 45/11. Ie. 4.09.
Have since used jimny rears on 2 occasions, they were both the same ratio.

I must be the luckiest Bastard alive then?

yet to see an auto one that has a different ratio than a manual. i've contacted suzuki about different ratios for that model and they do not exist. they are all 4.09:1.

Bingo. It didn't bother mine at all. The difference is equivalent to airing the front tyres down less then the rear.

approx 0.49% different between 4.11 to 4.09

so 31" tyre *25.4mm*0.49% = 3.85mm diff in diam.

Heaps of 4x4s have way more wear difference front to back than this.

F-all difference.

Post subject:  Re: New 4.1 C/P

digging up an old thread: so what was the consensus on maruti vs jimny ratio's? would a jimny crownwheel and pinion be suitable for a swap into a WT maruti rear to replace frucked C&P without having to change the front?

Yes, its how I run mine. Jimny rear is identical to maruti and can be put in front or rear.

the whole centre or just the C&P? and is it only the early G13bb jimny's or is it all? cheers for the help

Whole centre.
I haven't personally pulled a centre from anything newer than around '05 so can't comment on new models. All the old ones I have seen were OK to use.
