Busted cv maybe? When it's in low range jump under and see if you can twist the front drive shaft |

No idea what you're trying to say here. Are your hubs locking in or not? 6 bolts will have them off so you can check them |

Just reread your post and I think I understand..... With the hubs free and the transfer in 4wd (either high or low) can you spin the front shaft? |

It's probably the shifter bush at the bottom of your transfer lever. Pull the boots off, push the collar at the base of the stick down and twist it until stops then yank the stock out. Looking down the hole you'l probably see a completely disintegrated bit of plastic, dig that crap out, buy a new bush, fit it, re install the stick and you'l have low range again. Common problem. |

Transfer stick bush, or linkages slipped. Pull stick and have a look. My Vitara did that on a trip recently, was luckily easy fix. Hope yours is too |

If it's engaging 4wd properly in the transfer the front shaft won't spin when the hubs are unlocked. If its not engaging properly then the front shaft will spin |
