Ive spent months reading up on lockright and read tones and tones of threads with lots of YAYs and also lots of NAYs. I just thought id quickly post up incase anyone else was on the fence in regards to getting one. I ordered my lockright from jimneybits in UK and had it fitted by a friend of a friend whos done a few of them and knows his stuff. The locker overall isnt all that noisy, and doesnt kick and shudder anywhere near as much as i was expecting in the SWB. To be honest i havnt really changed my driving style, i dont have to glise through round-abouts like people had suggested.... well thats not to say that it doesnt every now and then bite or remind me its there. I took it out on its first run the weekend just been, and to start the run off there are a couple of steep sand hill climbs which are rutted to the max from safaris and hilux's with big 33's digging it out. To put it to the test I used first gear and just crawled up, wow was i impressed, the truck leaned side to side and didnt loose traction at all, up i went peice of cake. I really can understand people not wanting the locker installed in a daily driver, but you soon get over that when you realise how good it is offroad. anyway just my 2 cents |

I've got one in the front of my GV, although I've got manual hubs too. Best of both worlds |
