Post subject:  SE Vitara Camber Issue after repair

So I picked up a dirt cheap Vitara with some damage from a light crash, After replacing a front quarter panel, grill, light and tie rod I have noticed the camber on damaged side has a massive camber (as seen in pic.) This is on the repaired side.

Now I have noticed when I drive there is a slight bump but I believe this could also be because of a broken belt in one of the tires (haven't had a chance to look yet just want some advice first).

Firstly, would this camber issue be the reason my car is bumpy/rocking or could it be the belt/combination of the two.

I am have done my research so far and from what I know and have read is that the tie rod can only affect the wheel allignment, What else could change the camber? Will camber bolts just be the solution or is it because something is broken?

Any contribution is very much appreciated :peaceout:

Bent knuckle, bent strut, bent strut mount (chassis)

I wouldn't be driving the car at all, something is radically wrong, as you have pointed out, there is no adjustment to camber possible in a stock vitara

Definitely not driving it yet, just a project and had a run down the road to suss out some problems.

If I could pick your brain a bit, is there anyway to check what would be bent or will I just have to try different solutions?
Thanks for the very quick response by the way.

I'd get an opinion from a respected suspension shop via a wheel alignment. Sure, you could source and replace the knuckle/strut but if the chassis is bent it might be throwing good money after bad.- that might scuttle the whole project/write off the car.

so found a guy wrecking a vitara only a few suburbs over and scored myself a knuckle for 20 bucks if I removed it myself, Finished up work around 2 and played cars as soon as I got home. Problem Solved!

I was very lucky that I got this first go, and I now get to continue with my (now registered) vitara! :):)

thanks for your help steve
