Hey all,

So the other night I was heading back home to Stafford Heights from Capalaba after work, and my Vitara's engine crapped itself. I still haven't had a decent look to see what's happened to it, just got it towed to my folk's place and have left it there for now.

I'm currently deciding if I should do an engine swap, or cut my losses and sell it for parts (as a whole, I don't have time to individually part her out) and get another Zook. So I suppose, if it were your Vitara and your money, what would you do in my position? I don't particularly want to sell her, but I might have no real choice.

Cheers.

Hey MadMan, being a 1990 i am guessing Panda is a G16A(carbi engine)?
You could find another G16A or swap for a G16B (a lot of work involved, to be honest would be easier to buy one with it already).
Parting out, you already said you dont have the time too, its a hard subject really...
How attached are you and do you have the funds to ether swap or sell and buy another?

Yeah, been talking with people about doing a G16B swap, but from what I;ve heard it is a bit of work. I do love it, but I think swapping/selling her is probably going to be the easiest option.

Yeah, of course. I'm planning on having a good look this Sunday. But the whole it going bang and there being a lot of smoke when it happened, and it not working, doesn't really get my hopes up lol.
