i have 6.5 trans gears with standerd 3.7 diffs and i have leaky pinion seals
and i thought that seeing as my diffs will be apart i may as well change the gearing.
so my car will be 31" tyres, 6.5 trans gears and 4.1 R&P also G16 carb
motor. has any one got this combo and any ideas what reves it will
be at 100kph. i have tried a gearing calculator but it is a bit to tech for me.

89 wt hardtop. i would like to be able to comfortably sit on 100kph when
towing my bike as it is scary being overtaken by roadtrains, i had a kombi blow past me once.

where are you getting the 4.11 from?

it will be about 12% higher than what you have now (I think)

i have been given a couple of 1ltr front diffs that i was told had 4.1 centers in them.
i haven't striped them yet so i cant confirm that they are 4.1 though.

they must be maruti ring and pinions as jap 1 litre versions won't fit.

what do i need to look for, i know that n/t are 3.9 is there any thing around 4.1
to 4.5 that will fit my carrier?

x 90 and some grand fronts are 4.3. jimny rears and mariti diffs are close 4.1. you can use 4.09 and 4.1 together.

I have one WT maruti Ring and Pinion (4.1/4.09 ratio) if your interested. Took it out when i changed my front diff to 3.9 R&P because I busted the rear diff and couldnt find a spare quick enough.

With 6.5 and 31's it will be revving its tits off at 100 clicks. I had 32's and only 4.1 transfer gears and it was 3800-4000rpm at 100km/h. So you will want larger tyres

if i could get it to do 3900 to 4000 revs in 5th i would be happy
at the moment it is about 4000 in 4th
