| Post subject: | Bull bar & front end sag on jimny |
Hi guys. Im getting a front bar installed on my jimny next friday. i think they are about 35kg or so plus the spotties ill be installing on it. this is going to give me some sag in the front obviously. Ive done a bit of a search and it appears that there are alot of us using spring spacers. Are they legal as ive heard yes and no? If they are legal i was thinking maybe 20-30mm spacers might keep it level?? If they are illegal then my other option i guess is some heavier rated front springs? at the moment id prefer to keep it around the stock height as so far i havent had any issues with ride height but dont really want the head down bum up approach. so my options are: 1. spring spacers 2. hd springs in the front(any recomendations?) 3. other ideas? Thanks alot everyone. |

My Jim is currently in having an ARB bar put on right now. Mines only done 37,000 miles with minimal offroad so far, so i reckon the springs would be in good condition on mine. I'll post up some pictures in my build thread and report any sag that is apparent. When i took the factory bar off last night i got the Mrs who is 49kg to sand on the chassis rails and i had a visual look at the car side on and i saw next to no sag at all |

hey Jones be good to hear how much if any sag you get once yours is fitted up. sounds like i might be over dramatising how far the front will go down with the bar on. |

Cool thanks mate. looks good. ill see how the front holds up with the bar then before trying to fix the problem that seemingly isnt there. |
