I've been googling like crazy for pics of the JB/JT GV with the front bumper removed, so I can see just how much sheet metal lies beneath. Trying to sketch up a design for a full replacement bullbar, but I'm worried there is too much shit behind the lower corner of the bumper, preventing me from tapering the ends up for better clearance.

Mrs won't let me remove the bumper from our 2 day old GV, so any help is appreciated.

Yeah if you can.

I suspect that there are removable mounts that hold the OEM crash pad behind the plastic bumper ( from what I can see on mine with an inspection camera ) If this is the case, then mounting a new bar will be far simpler than I first thought.

Airbag sensors are located 100mm behind the radiator on each "chassis rail", and appear to be triggered by G-force alone, so assuming there are no crumple zones in the crash pad mounts, a new bar should not interfere with their operation.
