Not 100% as all new to me,
But I think the t/case gears for a jimny are very limited
Everyone seems to fit vit or 1l sierra t/case and put gears in them
And you transfer stick has to be modded a bit to work

vitara case wont work & has never been done to a jimny in my internet travels... most people use a 1.3l sierra case & a ORA mounting kit.

More power requires MORE engine revs - not less.

I think your best option would be to swap your diff gears for some VVT Jimny diff gears. Type II manual Jimny is 4.09:1, Type III Jimny is 4.3:1. Your Jimny is Type one which I think would be 4.09 but I'm not sure. Your car would feel more powerful and would rev 5% higher.

As Ruebs said less revs are no good. In saying that I'm assuming your Jimny is standard.

Check out this thread, lots of info

ok thanks :) ohh what is ORA???
umm my jimny has 235/75/15 tyres 2'OME lift kit, rear locker(air locker if that makes any difference) arb bull bar and 9000lb winch onthe front if that makes and difference.

I meant standard gearing - Diffs, gearbox, and transfer.

ORA is Off Road Armoury
