i have a set of springs and absorbers and axles taken out from a JDM Sierra.

now im planning to swap with my JA11 body shell.
question is... what are the thing that i need to aware of? i only have 2 days time to swap it.

You're going to have to give us some more information.

When you say JDM sierra, what model are you talking about? A JA11 is also a "JDM sierra." As far as I know, JA11's are narrow "track" cars, the same as SJ410 and pre 1988 SJ413.

If the donor car for the axles and suspension was a later SJ413, (an SJ70) then the spring pads on the axles will be the wrong width. You would have to cut the spring pads off of the axles and weld them back on to suit the narrower spring pad width of the JA11 chassis. This is a pretty big job. It can be done in two days, but you'll need to have everything ready to go, and depending on the axle tube diameter of the JA11, you might need the front RHS U bolts and spring plate from a JA51 Jimny (that's a narrow track 1.3)

If you can supply some more information then we can be of more help.

PS if the new axles are from a Coil Sierra (I think it's a JB31 in Japanese-speak) then this will be far more than a 2 day job.

sorry to make u guys confused... here i will try to simplify my explanation
below are 2 frames numbers

SJ40 is the frame im using now
im planning to put JB31 halfcut axle and springs on my SJ40 frame

is that possible? im using the JB31 engine and gearbox right now.

Wow, I'm even more confused than I was before.

OK, I can't get a good handle on what a JB31 is. I think the donor car you have is a 1.3 litre engined WT sierra . Judging from the brake line bracket.

My searching indicates that a JA11 is a narrow track Jimny. However, an SJ40 is a narrow track car, and your photo looks to show a narrow track brake line bracket, but your car looks to be WT width.

Can you take a photo of the area around the front shackle hanger?

Does the front of the chassis look like this, with a little support to hold the shackle hanger? If so, the springs are outside of the chassis and it's a WT car. As far as I can tell, the JB31 axles will bolt in.

If the end of your chassis looks like this:

See how the springs are directly under the chassis and there is no additional support on the tubular crossmember for the shackle hanger.

Then you have a NT car (narrow track) and the WT axles will need fabrication work to fit as per my previous post.

Sorry if this is confusing. If you post photos of the front of the chassis for both cars I can be more specific.

If you're only swapping those WT diffs under the NT then you should only need to move the perches and bolt them up, as Steve said you will probably need a couple of longer U bolts to get it to fit, not 100% on this as mine's a custom setup and done differently.

Where are you located? There are businesses on here that can do the perches for you, with new perches so you can just cut the old ones off and not have to worry about saving them.

Other things to check would be your diff ratio (I'm not sure if they differ between the models you have) as well as the flanges on the tail shafts and diffs, you may need to swap the flanges on the diffs or use half shafts or ream out the holes to fit (NT to WT or vice versa) and the handbrake system may be different but again I haven't got time to search now nor do I already know what the SJ40 should have, it may even have a transfer handbrake in which case you won't even have cables to undo.
Don't forget to get brake fluid!

You should be able to get everything ready on the new diffs beforehand and then it's just a case of swapping them into the SJ40 and you should be able to complete that in two days.

i've been looking at the anti-sway bar for sj413. couldnt find it anywhere here in Malaysia.
is there anything i can do? any OEM anti-sway bar?

would have been easier to NT the mounts on the diffs + the added benefit of better flex? :?
