Has anyone put a second battery in a abs jimny? I have a few ideas on how to fit one but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to. |

I am in the process of putting mine in the back of the car at the moment Shep. Never worked out a way to fit another one under the hood. |

If you make up a R/A bracket to relocate your washer bottle, you may be able to put a small battery in that space. If you have a body lift, there might be enough space between the chassis rails and behind the transfer case to install an AGM or sealed battery on its side in a custom made box. It will need protection, it will need to be resistant to heat and as far away from the exhaust as possible. Some batteries are not suitable for automotive applications, or mounting any way other than top up. |
