Hi Guys I'm a bit of an EvilBay Junkie and probably spend way too much time browsing and searching. I found this the other day and thought it might be very useful to anyone doing or considering an engine transplant using a G16B from a Baleno. From what I can gather this will make the engine work without the need for the Dash etc from the donor vehicle. But I could be wrong too... Anyway - Here's the link http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261110267842 ... 1423.l2649 |

Yeah- that guy is well known- killa kustom kables. You don't need any part of the dash for a baleno or gti swap, just an engine loom and a vss. Steve. |

Maybe. Wiring an engine loom isn't hard and it's nothing to be afraid of. I wouldn't buy an engine without a computer or loom, because there are too many small variations. If you have the computer and loom there's no real mystery to getting it into the car. I probably would pay money for the g16b-aw-4 loom though, because the transmission loom is integrated into the body loom and can't be easily lifted out. Steve. |

Just to throw in a random question regarding the transplant... I'm doing an SJ80 conversion using a JLX Vitara motor (loom getting done by killa kustom kables) but can't seem to find the where/how to mount the VSS on my cluster as it looks different to all the other ones I've seen :/ |

Maybe take a photo of the back of the cluster and post it here. I'm not familiar with the coil cluster, but I'm willing to bet it has provision for the VSS. I have a coil cluster at home, I'll have a look maybe tonight and see what I can tell you. Steve. |
