Hi guys ive recently rebuilt my suzuki g13b engine all is fine but when it gets up to temp it wont idle. It seems to be fine if cruising along and take out of gear and use brakes to slow down but if in traffic and stop starting all the time it wont idle also if I slow down throught the gears it also wont idle. I have also had carby rebuilt. Im thinking it needs a tune but how is this done. Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance. Mark16

Its probaly the carby,my Brothers is the same despite carby. rebuild,he played around with the adjustments and got it idling faster,1000 RPM, and then gave up trying to get it lower without dying when stopping.

see if you can find teh manual here.

http://www.suzukiinfo.com/

and study the carburetta bit very carefully....sounds like you need to adjust the hot idle.

im trying to sort out the idle on my g13a, its got a fairly complex hot/cold setup, which i suspect yours has too. I have the opposite problem, where it wont idle when its cold unless i turn up the idle screw, then it idles fine cold, but when it gets hot where it idles too high!

Im almost to the point of putting a cable in to pull on the choke lever manually....
