hey, im sure this might have been asked a millions times already, i've heard about the strut mount flip but havent yet had a look, on a vitara. im running a dobbingson 2" lift kit only! as the strut mount was designed to go in the way it is, will this mount flip cause any dramas? does it actually work? also, how exactly do i go about doing it? |

now there is a great answer,,,, no i dont currently have a big diff drop bracket. ok,, no dramas, my issue running my 31" muddies are not really in the front anyway. my issue is in the back arching out, but ive been advised to get some large bump stops in there which should solve my problem. i was just getting a little carried away i think. dont really want to go body lift or more then 2" lift as in NSW i'd have to get a engineers report and really cant be dealing with that, just more hassle |

They are going to be smashing the out side lip on up travel as they stick out the guards my 10p tuck up in the wheel arch with the lip bashed up flat .they touch with a 40mm bump stop spacer u could just cut the guards |

31s will require engineering in and of themselves if you're worried about the technicality. More immediately important are all the flow on effects that actually running them tend to involve: Scrubbing Detonating CVs Detonating front diff Ordinary fuel economy Extraordinary poor on-road performance Mods to think about: Suspension - Dobo's kit is a good start Steering stops Diff drops Steel Diff Diff ratios Guard chops Body Lift Bumpstops Transfer gearing Engineering in NSW is still a bit of a grey area, but if you are concerned about it you should probably add LWB or 2L front brakes, rear disc conversion, and speedo correction to your list as well. Find an engineer, tell them what you want to do (after reading as much about all the above as you can find) and they'll tell you what they will or won't approve under what conditions. Then bend over... |
