Just sold some wheels off a 94 vit (205/70r15) to go on a 98 jlx soft top vit.. Apparently they don't. fit and I feel like a bit of a bastard due to the fact that I sold them to a lass.

Just chasing the stud pattern variations. I though it was just the standard vit/sierra and gv patterns.

Cheers.

I don't think it will be a stud pattern problem. I reckon it's a brake clearance problem 98 Vits run 16" rims and generally wont clear 15's. Only NGV'a have a different stud pattern.

A 98 vitara is probably a 2.0 4cyl J20 or a 2.0 6cyl H20, these vitara runs bigger brakes so a 15" rim wont fit over the caliper, some people like Atari have manage to shave the caliper to get a 15" rim to fit but I wouldn't recommend it where it can be avoided.

All LJ's, Sierra, Vitara's, Jimny's and GV's up to 2005 have a 5/139.7 (5x5.5") stud pattern. The 2005-on GV's have a 5/114.3 (5/4.5") stud pattern

6 stud is very very rare, the only other one i've heard of is Dee's soft top & if i remember correctly he bought the hubs etc off someone to do the conversion. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2103&start=60

This was my first ever Suzuki, one of the very few high tops SJ's in New Zealand...

Image
It had JIMNY1300 badges, 6 stud wheels and air con.

Probably the nicest Suzuki I will ever own, stock as a rock

My second SJ was a soft top, JIMNY1300 badges, 6 stud and air con.
