Post subject:  Rear Bumper Light Don't Work

I have a '95 V6 Vitara. The other day i noticed the two brake lights that are in my rear bumper do not work. This is not a hug deal as the brake lights on the body DO work, although i thought it was strange the bumper lights didn't come on. I pulled the bulbs out and tested them, and they both work. I have put a multimeter to the cables going into the lights and i get a very small reading of 0.05 Volts.
Is there some, special way to activate these, or is the wiring stuffed? Also, I was thinking of just wiring them to the existing brake lights so they would come on with the brake lights in the body, anything wrong in doing this?

Thanks.

they're rear fog lights, should be a switch for them on the RHS of the steering column where the electric mirror adjuster is.

I have been confused ever since buying the car as to what that switch did. I knew they were fog lights but i thought the previous owner had front fogies on and took them off. Well thanks heaps for that.

Also, they should only come on if you've got the headlights on too.
