| Post subject: | Jimny bonnet duct |
Im back behind the wheel of a Jimny at last, I bought a second hand 2012 6000km, xrox bar, suspension lift and great stereo, off a young kid who, in his wisdom removed the bonnet scoop plastic duct. He claimed the dealer removed it upon delivery ... bit I dunno. Anyhow I want to refit it. I have been to my local dealer parts department who didn't even know about the new model and front end change, and surprise surprise, they can't get the part. He did find the "duct" and gave me a part number 72492-84A00-5PK but couldn't get a price or availability. Any ideas on where to get one? Asked about the jimny five spoke wheels and apparently I can't get them either unless I order them with a new vehicle. Seems strange to me. Anyhow any leads or ideas much appreciated. Its great to be back. |

I don't know about the bonnet duct, but the wheels pop up on ebay and the classifieds here every now and then. Edit, with the wheels, what about if you had an accident and needed to replace one or two wheels, they mean to say you cant get replacements |

Post a pic of it without the scoop. Email Suzuki Australia rather than a local dealer, they may be of more use. |

Barry banks, are you talking about the plastic that blocks off the scoop? If you are then you can have mine but I'd just go nick someone elses if I were you... Ricers be jealous of that fully sick bonnet scoop cuz PM me if you want to go through with postage etc...

Without the duct. Its actually functional. Why block it off again? They look silly with or without it. |
