I'm going to take off my lwb body to work on chassis
any one know how much a shell weighs and what is the best way to lift it
was thinking maybe sling under it and lifting with hiab but it might be to heavy or crush the roof. i can lift 500kg at 2.5m
any other ideas
Thanks

Best way is obviously a hoist, are you completely stripping it first as I think the body would be about 150-200kg by itself. If the hiab is your only option jack up the body and slide a couple of lengthes of rhs under it and bolt clamp them to the chassis, then lift off those. Just make them long enough that the straps don't push onto the body.

Body will have some wires and front glass every thing else is out
Might make a spreader bar for the top
