Im currently looking at buying what I believe is a 1L sierra. Its a 85 model with a metal grill. The bonnet also appears to be different to my 1.3L NT. is there any other tell tale signs of a 1L? Apart from the obvious being looking at a motor/gearbox which in this case are missing.

Also it's been mod plated for a 2L to remove this do I need to cancel anything with the Qld transport? As I've got 1L running gear to go into it.

Diff pumpkin is smaller by about 20mm. Can't remember the measurement though, someone else will hopefully know. Brake master cylinder will not have a booster in a 1 litre. Most 1 litres have a metal dash, but being an 85 it might be a type 3 and have a plastic dash.

The flat bonnet and metal grill are both telltales of a 1L. Also if the airbox is still in the engine bay it is a long cylindrical element rather than a wide but short one that is used in 1.3's.

The ID plate on the firewall should have the original engine no one it.

And it's abit weird a few thing don't match up being 85 1L no brake booster, small tunnel ,not a plastic dash, no plastic flares

x2 it's somewhere between 82-84, it's a type 2 1l.
